Artemide Melbourne Showroom Official Opening –
14th September 2006

Artemide Melbourne officially opened their showroom on 14th September with special attendance by international designer Neil Poulton, CEO of Artemide – Mr Massimo Manelli and General Manager of Artemide Asia-Pacific – Mr Carlo Belli.

200 Guests from interstate and the Melbourne design industry attended the official opening of the new Artemide showroom in Carlton, designed by Artemide’s Milan based in-house designers and architects. Italian inspired food and drinks complimented the evening, each guest also receiving a 1960’s inspired pencil holder designed by Emma Schweinberger for ARTEMIDE ... a gift to guests from Artemide Australia.

Guests were also enlightened with brief talks by Mr Manelli (CEO of Artemide) – briefing the audience on the relationship with family owned and managed Artemide Australia (the La Forgia family has been exclusive distributors of Artemide in Australia for 16years) – Artemide Australia and Artemide’s role in the design and lighting industry internationally.

Neil Poulton is Scottish born and resides in Paris. Neil charmed the guests with his experience designing lighting for the Artemide Group and also his newly released product – TALAK. It was Neil Poulton’s first trip to Australia … he performed public lectures both at RMIT University and The University of South Australia – on behalf of Architecture and Design faculties.

Artemide Head Office Adelaide – Official Showroom Relaunch –
18th September 2006

Artemide Australia’s Head Office is located in Adelaide – and Neil Poulton was guest of honour to relaunch the newly branded and designed Artemide Adelaide showroom also designed by Artemide’s Milan based in-house architects. The cocktail event also launched the TALAK by Neil Poulton to Adelaide’s design industry.
